Well, it's been a minute! I must say they past year+ has absolutely flown by and things that I kept thinking, "I'll work on that next week" turned into next month, then the following month, and so on until here we are a year+ down the road.

The past year has been one of lots of reflection, changes and happy memories. Our baby girl celebrated many milestones including her first birthday! We started homeschooling our oldest daughter which led to prayerful consideration into each of our kids schooling and more changes in that area for the future. My husband and I took a trip together to get away and cast vision for our family. I started leading the children's ministry at our local church, and with all of that my Blue House Joys business has been a bit on the back burner.

If you have been following along with Blue House Joys recently you may have noticed less canopy photos and reading nook inspiration. I've been hesitant to make any big announcements because to be honest I wasn't even sure what my own plans were for the future of my business. After much prayer and conversations with family and friends I have decided that it is time for a shift. As much as I have loved making beautiful reading nooks and seeing them in peoples homes sometimes you have to say goodbye to one thing to make room for the new things God is putting in front of you.

Does that mean Blue House Joys is coming to an end? Definitely not! However I do sense some pretty big changes coming. To be honest I am still figuring out what some of those changes are, and that can be a bit slow going right now with the current stages and needs of my family/kids.  One thing that will stay the same is that I plan to continue selling my Bravery Bags, because I love the mission behind them and the impact they make for children in foster care. I also hope to find ways to share openly about my faith, incorporate more encouragement for moms, and creative inspiration for your every day life.  If those things aren't you jam you are always welcome to hop on over to some other corner of the internet, BUT you are also more than welcome to stick around, and who knows maybe it will turn out to be just what you needed after all.

For now, here are some photos of our growing family taken by my talented friend, Ari. I love each of the unique and different stages our kids are in and I just want to remember this time of life and how rich and special it currently is.  Thank you so much for being here, and I look forward to what is next for Blue House Joys!
